I have tried a lot of sports in my days but when I found boxing that’s when I finally found the Sport for me. I have never been as fit as when I started with boxing training. It’s such an old sport and the exercises used seem so old but they are still here for a reason. Functional training is getting bigger and bigger and functional training is what we find in boxing training.
It doesn’t have to be complicated getting a great workout, it doesn’t have to be machines and a fancy gym. If you have a body, then you have THE best and the Only equipment you need for a great workout. Add on a pair of boxing gloves and a pair of mitts/pads then we can really start talking.
But Isn’t Boxing A Bit… well… Agressive?
A lot of people are not so comfortable with the term boxing.
Yes, it is know for being violent and a lot of people don’t like the fact to actually punch someone else but if you look at a boxer move in the ring, it’s like to see someone dance. It’s smooth moves near enough floating around. A boxers body is more often than not, muscular and lean and who would not want that?
Coming back to what most people don’t like about boxing, Yes it happened to me once…
I was knocked out in an amatuer fight in front of my husband and newborn son. It was a bit scary and it did put me off boxing for a while. But I missed the training like crazy and taebo (aerobics w punching and kicking in the air), just didn’t do it for me. That’s when I first heard about Fitness Boxing/Boxercise.
Shortly after I did an Instructors course back in Sweden and it was Perfect. It was Boxing but WITHOUT the punches to the head and the blood and tears. With fitnessbox I got a faboulus Boxing workout but no black eye!
Fitnessboxing has now been in Luxembourg for 5 years and it is going strong. It’s popular with all kinds of people. We have woman, men, young,old, fit and not so fit people coming.
The classes are tough but there is ALWAYS room to adjust them to your own levels.
However, we are looking for individuals that are NOT scared of hard work and getting sweaty and stinky. We are here to help you burn lots of body fat and tone up.
